A staff person who instructs children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Plans individual and group activities to stimulate learning, according to the developmental stages of the children.
Qualifications
Bachelor鈥檚 degree in a subject matter related to early childhood education and/or child development from an accredited university.
Minimum Site Supervisor Permit or Site Director Permit, preferred.
Six(6) Units in Administration, plus Two (2) Units in Adult Supervision required.
Minimum of three (3) years paid experience in working with children 0-5.
Pediatric First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certified.
Ability to communicate, both oral and written
Ability to speak, read and write English well enough to understand and be understood by others.
Ability to relate to diverse groups of people including low-income families.
Sensitive to others needs.
Maintain confidentiality.
Sincere commitment to providing services to children and the community.
Ability to assess and respond quickly to varied situations.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
Special Qualifications
Must meet State health requirements including passing a physical examination as a condition of employment, and must provide verification of a TB clearance at the time of employment.
Must provide vaccination records for influenza, pertussis, and measles at the time of employment, annual requirement thereafter.
Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Justice Department. 聽Fingerprints clearance must be active and on file with the Justice Department.
Must have good driving record.
Must be able to work split shift if required.
